Time to catch up

The summer holiday has officially begun and sadly it already ended.  My summer classes started last week, one week after my finals ended.  It was a pretty crazy year, and although I didn't post much, nothing really interesting happened outside studying for classes.  However, I'll throw in some fun pictures I missed the past couple months.

Instead of sunny Cancun we spent a chilly Spring Break in Upstate NY visiting Seth's family and the alpaca that lives down the road.  The alpaca is on the left.
Guess what her name is?  It is Fluffy.
We had dinosaur guests for Easter (by the way, the dino kit is the coolest Easter Egg kit EVER).
Moses made his annual appearance and parted the Dino Sea

Let's fast forward a few months.  During my week off for summer break, I went down to Raleigh for some R&R and to visit Mom for Mother's Day.  I don't think I have been home on Mother's Day since I graduated from UNC 7 years ago...

While I was in town I met up with Meghan in Chapel Hill to see her trashy dress on display in a Franklin Street art gallery.  Seriously, it was made of trash, as were all the other amazingly creative dresses in the gallery.

On my last day in Raleigh I went with Mom and Dad to the Got to Be NC Festival at the state fair grounds.  It really was like a mini state fair!
The Independent Labrador Competition.  These happy dogs don't need their mothers to fold their laundry and make them breakfast because they are independent, haha.
I could watch this cute little Furbee all day!
The Parade of Tractors
We stopped by the rodeo and as I waited for the horses to come out all I saw were these guys fixing the telephone pole.  It took me a little while to figure out what a lineman's rodeo is, but now I know it doesn't involve horses.

For a couple fleeting weeks in spring Prospect Hill is dotted with lovely lady slipper orchids. Although they appear is small groups as well as large packs in this park, I wonder if they are very common in other locations, too?
A rare white lady slipper
Can you see all the little pink pillows carpeting the forest floor?

Looks a bit like an alien wearing a dress
